My unveiling began 9 years ago when I saw something magical in my husband's sister, MaryBeth. I knew I wanted what she had but I was uncertain and frankly scared of how to start my journey. MaryBeth was so passionate and knowledgeable about God. I had cracked open the bible a few times and it was completely foreign to me. How would I ever come to know and love God the way she did? Finally the day came when I felt this propelling urge to ask her all about her faith. As we were land marked on her parents bed, I eventually invited Jesus into my heart. MaryBeth was ELATED!!! I was so excited too! This blog is my journey with God. My hope is to share with you intimately what He has shown me over the years; even before I knew Him! Past~Present and Future...Here we go!!!!!!!!!!!! My walk with God!

Wise UP!!!

Timely advice is lovely, like golden apples in a silver basket. Proverbs 25:11

Knowledge is horizontal.
Wisdom is vertical- it comes down from above.

A "lesson" in "healing"

Many of you know I have had chronic leg pain for about a year now. I have searched for answers and at times just dealt with pain quietly. It occurred to me one day that maybe I should seriously pray about which direction I needed to take in seeking help. I had my list narrowed down to two fellows; a Vein Specialist and a Chiropractor. My prayers kept leading me to seek out this Chiropractor. My first visit landed my hands in the hands of his nurse as she prayed for me in the office. I believe my healing began that day. This Dr. informed me of the culprit; my lower back! Of all things! I felt confident leaving that day that were on our way to healing.

We are up to my 6th visit and I feel sheepish that I may have shared too much baggage. I struggle all too often with my sensitive heart. I know we need to just move forward and put things in the past, but what I also know is that we all may forget certain events in our lives, but we will never forget how someone made us feel. This is where I struggle. This pool of sorrow just lurks right behind my eyes and it is so hard to stop the flood gates. I have spent so much of my life trying to "matter" and feel loved. My Dr suggested the other day  to "stand in the Gap" for my mom. At first I felt excited and willing, but when I left his office my thoughts changed. I honestly thought, "Lord...I don't want to." But my new friend is right! I have too! I have to forgive and move on! What is my problem?? My problem is that I am still fighting this alone! This absolutely has to be a daily effort with "God" to ship these sorrows off! So many of you have followed me in this journey. It is funny how I finally closed the door on this toxic relationship and found great freedom. Yet, I am still dragging the relationship around.

These past few weeks have truly opened my eyes about our spiritual sickness and how it can even seep into our bodies! Oh my gosh! Girls, we have got to nip this stuff in the bud.... Give it to the Lord! He is the only one who can rid us of this sickness that is invading our very source of life! If we don't spend time with Him everyday then we are truly setting ourselves up to belly flop! His word reminds us to..."Seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" Jeremiah 29:13 And we know that the Lord is always with us when are with Him! Right now I am falling on my face! I am not holding onto God's hand everyday. We all come to the crossroads where we have to make a choice....I am choosing God! My heart is yearning for that closer relationship. Where is your heart right now? What are you carrying around that is hurting you physically or emotionally?  If your ship is sinking like mine~> I hope this helps you.

I can't change the fact that I am super mega sensitive. I have always been that way, but I can change my wardrobe and put on my new wardrobe from Christ. We are freely given armor every day to conquer these challenges yet half us leave our homes with only one garment! Change happens when we get "out" of the way and let "God" lead. I may have stumbled a few hundred thousand times since God and I connected, but I know He is patient, loving, and all-sufficient. It just takes some of us a little longer to connect the dots! I hope your successful in connecting yours....
Feel free to give me a whack if you see me out! (We can all use a "friendly" reminder to keep in step with God) Where I am weak...He is STRONG!!!
