Treasures Along the Way~~~````~~~
I was out walking yesterday with my little Lucas when I saw this beautiful flower! I posted it on my facebook as the treasure I almost missed. So often the word treasure falls after the word hidden. Maybe we should stop placing those two words together. God's treasures are there for us everyday! We just need to keep our eyes and hearts open so we don't miss out!!
One of my friends posted a comment on my facebook saying she had never seen anything like it! I immediately thought that was exactly what God says about us! Our personality, desires, dreams, choices, and relationship with God can never be copied. All of these things together make you one of a kind. There will never be anyone exactly like you!

Heavy Heart
My heart feels like I have a ton of bricks crushing it. I just have to tell you that sometimes I am simply flat-out mean to my oldest son, Carson. I am often impatient and quick to throw back some smart comment. The end result is feeling full of it! I could just kick myself for chipping away at his spirit. We haven't started Summer yet and I am right on track with him;( I decided the only solution for me was to gather up some armor=God's word! Proverbs 16:24 reminds me of the pleasant words that are sweet as a honeycomb to the soul and healing to the bones. Then Proverbs 15:4 the tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. Finally, do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
Dear God,
Please help me choose pleasant words when instructing Carson. Please remove and replace the trigger inside of me that spouts out those negative statements. I need your help Lord daily to boost this little guy towards you. Guide my tongue and lead my heart towards all that is helpful and encouraging. May our team effort bring all the benefits needed in developing a strong foundation! I love Carson dearly and desire all blessings you have in store for him. Thank you in advance for your help! I love you!
In Jesus Name

The Human Eye
Last year was our first year to have professional pictures taken of our family. Once I received my disk it was extremely hard to decide which ones to print. So...I printed most of them and slapped them all into frames. They are an assortment of sizes from 4x6 to poster size. Well...As luck would have it we had another round of pictures taken around Easter. More pictures to place in frames for me to adore daily. Cameras are truly amazing at capturing those precious moments; freezing them in time for us to enjoy for many years. The individual components of the eye work in a similar manner to a camera. Each part plays a role in providing a clear picture for us. So what is the difference between what the human eye sees and the camera? I have been thinking about this myself and think there really isn't that big of a difference. The human eye takes snaps and samplings of things all day long but when it comes to people...Do we really "see" them? How many times have you met someone and thought to yourself, "not worth my time." Or maybe you thought something else about them and went ahead made some of your own assumptions. All of this from that first snap shot you took of them. Are you following me? How about this? When was the last time you received a brown box in the mail and instead of opening it you decided to throw it away because there was no pretty wrapping or a bow:0) Do you think you may have missed out on something? We (me included) should all take the time to unwrap and scratch the surface of our brothers and sisters. I bet we would all be pleasantly surprised!!! Let's go get those packages!!!! Jesus loved everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
